YOUTH/JOBS TEAM MEETING – THURSDAY, MARCH 26
The next Youth/Jobs Team meeting will be held, Thursday, March 26 at 7:00 pm at Progressive Baptist Church.
DELEGATES ASSEMBLY/PUBLIC ACTION – MARCH 19TH
We will be holding a Delegates Assembly/Public Action at 7:00 pm at Mt. Mary College, 2900 North Menomonee River Parkway, Milwaukee, 53222, in Bergstrom Hall. Enter the college off of 92nd St., south of Burleigh and park in the large parking lot on the left.
The Public Action will relate to Youth/Jobs and our efforts regarding healthcare. We will also elect the Strategy Team.
HEALTH CARE TEAM
The next Health Care Team meeting will be on Tuesday, February 24 from 7 to 8:30 pm at St. Mark Episcopal Church, 2618 N. Hackett, just east of Downer Avenue on the East side of Milwaukee. There is much to discuss and do.

SUMMER YOUTH/JOBS
Recruitment of employers for the Summer Jobs Program will be held on the morning of February 19 from 7;30 am to 8:30 am at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 1100 N. Astor St., Milwaukee, 53202 (directions).

COMMON GROUND U
THE WINTER 2009 CGU SESSIONS WILL BE HELD:
Track 1: Mondays, February 23, March 2 and 9 at St. John Vianney Parish in Brookfield from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Track 2: Saturdays, March 14 and 21 at Bay View UMC in Milwaukee from 8:15 am to 1:00 pm.This is a nine hour curriculum teaching the fundamental skills for organizing around issues important to you and your community.

HEALTH CARE REFORM COMMITTEE CONDUCTING INFORMATION/LISTENING SESSIONS
Common Ground Health Care Reform Committee is engaged in two potential campaigns to make health insurance more accessible for those who are self employed or work for small businesses or non-profit organizations. In late January and early February CG will be conducting Information/Listening Sessions throughout the region. (See attached flyer) These will discuss the Wisconsin Health Care Cooperative (WHC) and the State’s proposed Badger Choice program. The two Q&As regarding these two programs are attached. WHC. CORE TEAM WORKSHOP
We have rescheduled the Core Team Workshop for Tuesday, February 3. It will be held at Wauwatosa Presbyterian Church, 2366 N. 80th St., Milwaukee, at 7;30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Please confirm your attendance so we know how many are attending and can notify you in case of cancellation – Common Ground
The Core Team Workshop is focused on building a core team, the active group of Common Ground leaders in your member organization. We will focus on the following topics:
What is a Core Team?
Why build a Core Team?
How do you build a Core Team?
What does a Core Team do?We will ask leaders to come learn from one another and share experiences and questions of this work over the last six months.
This workshop is meant for leaders who would like to build a stronger team in their member organization.
