After months of work, on September 27th the MPS School Board passed the after-school tutoring program changes Common Ground pushed for.

“Credit for ushering along many of the tutoring changes goes to Common Ground, a grass-roots community organizing group that saw after-school services and support as an area ripe for improvement in the district.”
This is an important first step in our efforts to help change the education system in our region. There is much more work to be done, but we take pause to celebrate this first victory.
