Building Parish Engagement and Leadership on a Relational Model

Jim Honig is a Lutheran pastor with over 30 years of parish experience, having served congregations in Missouri, Florida, the Chicago suburbs, and now in Door County, Wisconsin. While in Illinois, Jim was an active leader with DuPage United, an IAF organization of institutions working together at the local level to create new capacity for leadership development, citizen-led action and relationships across the lines that often divide our communities. In addition to serving as a leader and trainer in congregation based organizing, Jim has facilitated planning retreats for congregations and non-profit organizations. He is passionate about empowering congregations to engage the mission to which God has called them. He holds a Certificate in Community Organizing and Congregational Development from Johnson C. Smith Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia.
