HEROIN AND OPIOID ABUSE

Common Ground leaders concerned about the increase in addiction to heroin and other opioids are researching the problem and looking for effective ways to address this public health epidemic. The rate of opioid use disorder has more than tripled in Wisconsin since 2005. More Wisconsinites now die from heroin and other opioids each year than from car crashes. We are investigating the full spectrum of substance abuse: prevention, harm reduction, treatment and recovery support.
