MPS School Board Meeting: Action!

On May 9th we will attend the MPS School Board budget meeting to show our support for including $75,000 in the 2019-2020 facilities budget for the design and bid phase of the Washington field renovation.

LOCATION: MPS District Offices, 5225 W Vliet St., Milwaukee

BACKGROUND:

Washington High School’s outdoor athletic space is in desperate need of updates. The students and the ShermanPark residents deserve a great place to meet, compete, exercise, and play. We’ve got a plan and we are working with students, staff, and residents to make it happen. With $1.3 million we will be able to put in an artificial turf field, rubberized track, and basketball courts. Common Ground is committed to leveraging the necessary public and private funds. Let’s make sure $75,000 for the next phase of Washington’s field renovation is included in the 2019-2020 MPS facilities budget.
